New Zealand Rigging can customize any type of rope to suit your needs, we can also use a combination of rope to make a specialized sheet, halyard or control to suit your needs.

Some of the most common customizing we do is the following:

Custom made runner tails using Dynex core, adding a Polyester-Kevlar cover for the winch drum area, adding a light tail to reduce the weight and the cost of the tail.

Tapering reef lines and sheets, Here we reduce the size of the rope in the area that is not used when loaded, e.g.: a 12mm Reef line would be reduced to a 8mm Rope for the length that is not required to be in a rope jammer, again saving weight and the cost of the tails.

Rope painting, we can paint the exposed core on your halyards and sheets to any colour that you choose. This is a good way of extending the life of
the core and also helps the crew identify what rope is what.

Replacing existing wire runners, back stays, halyards and sheets with
either Spectra, Dynex, Vectran or PBO is a good way to reduce weight
aloft, windage, and increasing the life of your sails.
